AOKA MIZU

Aoka MizuThe Aoka Mizu (IMO: 9190028, Port of Registry: Willemstad, Dutch Antilles is a so-called ‘FPSO' (floating production and storage offloading system) which are used as floating platforms to gather oil from relatively small oil fields at sea. The Aoka Mizu is 248 meters long, 42 meters wide and has a deadweight tonnage of 105,000. She is capable of storing 95,000 m3 (600,000 bbls) of crude oil and is able to process 30,000 barrels of oil per day. The Aoka Mizu is owned by Bluewater Enegry Services, The Netherlands

The Aoka Mizu arrived this morning at Keppel Verolme for some final work before being installed at the Ettrick field, located in the Outer Moray Firth about 120 km Northeast of Aberdeen, where Bluewater was awarded a contract for the production facilities and operations by Nexen Petroleum U.K.
