ALBUTAIN STAR

The Albutain Star (IMO: 9378541, Port of Registry: Monrovia, Liberia) is a 332 meters long, 60 meters wide crude oil tanker with a deadweight tonnage of 318,000. The ship was built in 2008 at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Korea and is owned by Vela International Marine, located in Dubai which is one of the largest crude oil tanker companies in the world and is a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco). Vela International Marine won the 2008 Tanker Operator Award at the Oct. 9, 2008.

The Albutain Star arrived last night at the TEAM terminal Rotterdam with the last port of call at Sidi Kerir Terminal, Egypt. She will be discharging for about 36 hours.
