EVA N

Eva N
Today's SotD is the orecarrier Eva N (IMO: 9127150, Ex. Name: Berge Nord, Port of Registry: Monrovia, Liberia) . She is currently owned by Neu Seeschiffahrt, Germany. The Eva N has a deadweight tonnage of 218,000, a draught of almost 19 meters and has seven holds and hatches. The ship was built in 1997 by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea. This 305 meters long, 53 meters wide bulk carrier is one of the biggest ships to enter the Arctic sea. Other vessels owned by Neu Seeschiffahrt and visiting Rotterdam regularly are: Faith N, Alfred N and Amy N.

The Eva N arrived this morning at the EMO bulk terminal, Rotterdam from Saldanha Bay, South Africa carrying iron ore.

BING N

Bing NToday's SOTD is the Bing N(IMO:9002776, Port of registry: Monrovia, Liberia), in the picture shown under her old name "Bergeland". The Bing N is the largest vessel in the fleet of her operator Neu Seeschiffahrt, Germany however quite a bit smaller than the new Valemax vessels, such as the Vale Italia and Vale Rio de Janeiro. With her deadweight of 322,941 tons she still one of the larger bulk ore carriers sailing. This in 1992 built, 338 meters long, 55 meters wide, ore carrier has a draught of 23 meters, has 7 holds and hatches and was built by Hyundai Heavy Ind. Co. Ltd. Ulsan, Korea.

The Bing N is schedule to arrive this afternoon at the EECV terminal, Rotterdam from Tubarao, Brazil with a load of iron ore.

HUGO N

Ore carrier Hugo N (IMO: 9398096, Port of Registry: Monrovia, Liberia) is 327 meters long, 55 meters wide and has a maximum draught of 21.4 meters. She has a deadweight tonnage of 297,000. She was delivered in January 2011 at Universal Shipbuilding, Japan and is operated by Neu Seeschiffahrt. Her sister vessels are Abigail N, Daniel N, Helen N and Steven N

The Hugo N is expected to arrive later tonight at the EECV terminal, Rotterdam with a load of iron ore from Tubarao, Brazil.

STEVEN N

Ore carrier Steven N (IMO: 9377406, Port of Registry: Monrovia, Liberia) is 327 meters long, 55 meters wide and has a maximum draught of 21.4 meters. She has a deadweight tonnage of 297,000. She was delivered in 2010 at Universal Shipbuilding, Japan and is operated by Neu Seeschiffahrt. Her sister vessels are Abigail N, Daniel N, Helen N and Hugo N.

The Steven N is expected to arrive this afternoon at the EECV terminal, Rotterdam with a load of iron ore from Tubarao.

AMY N

The Amy N (IMO: 9149809, Port of Registry: Monrovia, Liberia) is a 332 meters long, 58 meters wide ore carrier with a deadweight tonnage of 322,500 and a maximum draught of 23 meters. The Amy N was built in 1997 at Daewoo Shipbuilding, South Korea as the Neckar Ore. She is currently operated by Neu Seeschiffahrt, Germany. Other vessels operated by Neu Seeschiffahrt are (amongst others) Eva N, Alster N and Waterman N.

The Amy N arrived last night at the EECV terminal, Rotterdam carrying a load of iron ore from Tubarao, Brasil.
