The DSND Pelican (IMO: 8420244, Port of Registry: Nassau, Bahama's) is a multi-purpose offshore support vessel offering a primary dive support capability. An 18 man twinbell saturation diving system rated
to 370 metres provides a flexible platform for subsea operations. The vessel is 94 metres long, 18 metres wideand has a cargo deck area of 670 m2. She is equipped with a helideck to support Super Puma helicopters and provides accomodation to 105 persons. The Pelican is propelled by four 3000 kW Wichmann engines together with two 2750 kW stern azimuth thrusters. The vessel is owned and operated by Subsea 7, Cayman Islands.
The DSND Pelican is expected to arrive later this afternoon at Damen Shipyards, Schiedam.
