AQUARIUS-G

The Aquarius-G (IMO: 9648506, Port of Registry: Panama) is a Seismic Support Vessel specially designed for doing seismic research. She was delivered in April 2013 from Maaskant Shipyards to her owner Rederij Groen. For this specialized jobs, the vessel has a large freeboard and has a free deck space of 105 m2. She is 40 meters long, 9.3 meters wide, has a design speed of 14 knots and provides accomodation to 14 persons. She is propelled by two Caterpillar C32 ACERT 970 kW engines and is equipped with a Veth VT-100 110 kW bow thruster. The Aquarius-G is the sister vessel of the Astra-G which was delivered in March 2013.

The Aquarius-G arrived this morning at the port of Dordrecht.
