Crude Oil tanker Al Salmi (IMO: 9534793, Port of Registry: Kuwait) was delivered in June 2011 from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co. The vessel is 333 meters long and 60 meters wide. With a maximum draught of 22 meters and deadweight of 319,660, she is able to carry up to 1.2 million barrels of oil. The Al Salmi is the third of four VLCC's to be built for her owner Kuwait OIL Tanker Company (KOTC). Her sister vessels are Dar Salwa, Umm Al Aish and in October 2011 the Al-Rigga.
The Al Salmi arrived this morning at the MOT Terminal, Rotterdam with a load of crude oil from Mina Al Ahmadi, Kuwait.
