USS TAYLOR

The USS Taylor (callsign: NJJT) is a US navy frigate of the Oliver Hazard Perry-class. The USS Taylor was launched in 1983 at Bath Iron Works, US. She is 138 meters long, 14 meters wide and is propelled by two General Electric LM2500-30 gas turbines generating 31,000 kW which gives the vessel a maximum speed of 29 knots. The vessel has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 18 knots. She is crewed by 15 officers and 190 enlisted and is armed with one OTO Melara Mk 75 76 mm/62 caliber naval gun, two Mk 32 triple-tube (324 mm) launchers for Mark 46 torpedoes, one Vulcan Phalanx CIWS and four .50-cal (12.7 mm) machine guns.

The USS Taylor will arrive this morning at the Holland Amerikakade, Rotterdam.
