CROWN PRINCESS

Cruise ship Crown Princess is one of the largest Princess ships, with room for 3,080 passengers. She was built in 2006 at Fincantieri Cantieri Navali Italiani, Trieste, Italy and is, together with sisterships Emerald Princess and Ruby Princess, one of the largest ships in the Princess fleet. She offers nearly 900 balcony staterooms providing as well as several bars and restaurants, a casino, theatre, swimming pool, etc. etc. She is 288 meters long and 36 meters wide and has a gross tonnage of 113,561. The Crown Princess was involved in an incident in 2006 in US waters which caused a severe tilting of the ship and injuries.

The Crown Princess arrived at the port of Rotterdam this morning and will leave the cruiseterminal tonight.

CMA CGM HYDRA

The CMA-CGM Hydra (IMO: 9356309, Port of Registry: London) is a 347 meters long, 45 meters wide containership with a maximum teu capacity of 10,960 and is equipped with 700 reefer points. The vessel is propelled by a Man B&W 12K98ME-C engine which gives the ship a maximum speed of 26 knots. She was delivered in april 2009 at Daewoo Heavy Industries, Korea and is deployed on CMA CGM's FAL3 loop between the Far East and Western Europe. The ship also has capacity for 8 passengers for cargo ship cruising. The CMA CGM Hydra arrived this morning at the ECT Delta Terminal with the last port of call at Bremerhaven.

ROLLDOCK SEA

Today we have the Rolldock Sea (IMO: 9404704, Port of Registry: Rotterdam) featuring as the Ship of the Day. The Rolldock Sea is a heavy load vessel that combines float-in/float-out, roll-on/roll-off and lift-on/lift-off capabilities with which the vessel serves a niche market. The ship is equipped with two cranes that is able to lift 700 tons in tandem. The RoRo capacity is 4000 tons where the vessel is capable of varying the height of the load deck in six different heights. Due to this capability the vessel is able to adapt to every quay in the world. The vessel was built at Larsen & Toubro, India and delivered in 2011. She is owned by Rolldock B.V., the Netherlands. The Rolldock Sun is scheduled to arrive at Damen shipyard, Wiltonhaven, Rotterdam later tonight from Coatzacoalcos, Mexico. Click here for the current position of the Rolldock Sea

CSCL LONG BEACH

Today we have containership CSCL Long Beach (IMO: 9314258, Port of Registry: Hong Kong) featuring as the Ship of the Day. This ship is a 336 metres long, 46 metres wide containervessel with a deadweight tonnage of 111,700. The vessel has a teu capacity of 9,580 and 700 reefers and is propelled by a 93,120 BHP MAN B&W engine, which gives the vessel a maximum speed of 24.7 kts. The CSCL Long Beach was built in 2007 by Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea. She is operated by Seaspan ship management, Hong Kong.

The CSCL Long Beach arrived last night later tonight at the Euromax terminal from Hamburg.

XIN SHANGHAI

The Xin Shanghai (IMO: 9307231, Port of Registry: Hong Kong) is a containervessel with a length of 336.7 metres, width of 45.6 metres and a maximum draught of 15 metres. She can carry a maximum of 18 rows of containers by eight tiers on the weather deck and 16 rows by 10 tiers in the holds which gives the vessel a total capacity of 9,600 teu. The ship is propelled by an MAN B&W 12K98MC-C Mk6 engine, with a power of 68,520 kW. During sea trials the ship achieved a ballast service speed of 25.4 knots. The CSCL Pusan and Xin Los Angeles are her sistervessels. She is deployed on Evergreen's China-Europe-Mediterranean (CEM) loop.

The Xin Shanghai arrived this morning at the port of Rotterdam with the last port of call at Hamburg. She is currently berthed at the Euromax terminal, Rotterdam and will depart with destination Suez Canal within 36 to 48 hours. She will return to Rotterdam within two months.
