CMA CGM CENTAURUS

The CMA CGM Centaurus (IMO: 9410777, Port of Registry: London) is one of the more recent additions to the fleet of CMA CGM. The vessel was built at Hyundai Heavy Industries and delivered early 2011. She has a maximum teu capacity of 11,356 TEU and 800 connections for reefers. The CMA CGM Centaurus is 363 meters long and 45 meters wide and has a deadweight tonnage of 131,000. According to CMA CGM the vessel uses 6% less fuel than comparable ships. The CMA CGM Centaurus is propelled by a MAN B&W main engine with an output of 72,240 kilowatts, making it possible for the ship to travel at a service speed approaching 25 knots.
