RELUME

OSV Relume

The Relume (IMO: 9280720, Port of Registry: Nassau, Bahama's) has been specifically designed to facilitate the delivery of a wider range of related services, enabling her owner Middle East Navigation Aids Service (MENAS) to provide additional support to the offshore oil industry, environmental protection agencies and marine safety and charting organisations. The vessel was built in 2004 at Damen Shipyards, Flushing, The Netherlands and is 82.6 meters long and 16.5 meters wide. She is fitted with an ample working deck fitted with container securing points, multiple electrical power points, a 25-tonne crane, advanced sonar equipment and a sophisticated Dynamic Positioning System. The Relume is propelled by two Rolls Royce (Aquamaster) Azimuth units of 1500 KW each and 2 x Rolls Royce (Kamewa) Bow Tunnel Thruster units of 515 KW each giving the vessel a service speed of 13 knots. The ship provides accomodation in 10 officers cabins, 26 Petty Officers/Crew berths and an owners suite.

The Relume arrived this morning at Damen, Schiedam. She is expected to stay there for about three weeks.
