| The Oasis of the Seas (IMO: 9383936, Port of Registry: Nassau, Bahama's) is a cruise ship owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises and the first of the four vessels from the Oasis-class. The Allure of the Seas is her sistervessel. A third vessel is currently being built at Saint-Nazaire, France and a fourth vessel has been recently ordered. With a length of 360 meters, width of 60.5 meters and a gross tonnage of 225,282 the Oasis of the Seas is by far the largest cruise ship in the world. The vessel has 16 passenger decks and can accomodate a total of 6,360 guests with a crew of 2,394. On board you can find (amongs others): an aquatheater, 18,000 sq ft casino, water park, 3d movie theater, two FlowRider surf simulators, an ice-skating rink, etc...etc... The Oasis of the Seas was delivered in 2009 by STX Europe, Turku, Finland. The Oasis of the Seas is expected to arrive later tonight at the cruise terminal at the Holland Amerikakade, which was adjusted recently for receiving such large cruise vessels. Afterwards she will move to Keppel Verolme shipyards for maintenance works during two weeks.
