The Margot N (IMO: 8707226, Port of Registry: Monrovia, Liberia) is a 322 meters long, 56 meters wide ore carrier with a deadweight of 255,000 and a maximum draught of almost 20 meters. The vessel is propelled by a MAN Diesel, 6S80MC-C Mk. VII type, engine delivering a power of 20,377 KW and giving the vessel a maximum speed of 14 knots. She was built in 1989 at Hyundai Heavy Industries, Korea as the Niels Maersk as a single-hulled tanker and converted to an ore carrier in 2008. She is currently operated by Neu Seeschiffahrt, Germany. The Margot N will arrive later this afternoon at the EECV terminal, Rotterdam for discharging iron ore from Tubarao.
